Technical” information

The purpose of this privacy policy is to provide maximum transparency regarding the information that the site collects and how it uses it.

In compliance with the obligations deriving from national (Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003, Personal Data Protection Code, and subsequent amendments) and European (European Data Protection Regulation no. 679/2016, GDPR) legislation, this site respects and protects the confidentiality of visitors and users, making every possible and proportionate effort not to infringe users’ rights.

This site does not publish advertisements, does not use data for the purpose of sending advertisements, but uses third party services in order to improve the use of the site, third parties that may collect data from users and then use them to send personalized advertisements on other sites. However, this site makes every effort to protect your privacy and minimize the collection of personal data. For example, the site sometimes uses YouTube videos, which are set so that they do not send cookies (and therefore do not collect data) until the user starts the video. In fact, you can see that instead of the video there is only a placeholder. The site also uses social plugins to make it easier to share articles on social networks. These plugins are configured so that they only send cookies (and thus possibly collect data) after the user has clicked on the plugin.

By way of information, please note that the management of cookies is complicated, both by the site operator (who may not be able to manage third-party cookies correctly) and by the user (who may block cookies that are essential for the operation of the site). So a better, and simpler, way to protect your privacy is to use anti-tracing tools, which then block tracking by third party sites (read -> Protect online privacy. For this purpose we recommend the use of Privacy Badger and uBlock Origin).

For further information on the processing of personal data you can read the full information below.

Legal basis of the treatment

This site processes data primarily on the basis of the consent of users. The consent is given through the banner at the bottom of the page, or through the use or consultation of the site, as conclusive behavior. By using or consulting the site, visitors and users approve this privacy policy and consent to the processing of their personal data in relation to the methods and purposes described below, including any disclosure to third parties if necessary to provide a service. By means of the communication or service request forms, further consents relating to the specific purpose of the service are collected.

The provision of data and therefore consent to the collection and processing of data is optional, the User may deny consent, and may revoke at any time a consent already provided (through the banner at the bottom of the page or browser settings for cookies, or the link Contacts). However, denial of consent may result in the inability to provide certain services and the experience of browsing the site would be compromised.

Data for the security of the site and for the prevention of abuse and SPAM, as well as data for the analysis of site traffic (statistics) in aggregate form, are processed in accordance with the legitimate interest of the Data Controller to protect the site and the users themselves. In such cases the user always has the right to oppose the processing of data (see par. Rights of the user).
